Construction rules

Construction in Coinrepublik is the heart of development. Every new building, upgrade, or renovation is a step toward a stronger republic. However, construction isn’t freeform—it follows a strict set of rules that all players must understand and manage carefully to succeed.

To start building, three main requirements must be met. First, the land plot must be empty, cleaned, and directly connected to the City Hall via a road of at least level 1. Without this connection, no construction can begin. Second, you need at least one free, unskilled worker. No worker, no build. Third, your storage must contain the necessary raw materials like wood and stone. If any of these are missing, the project is halted before it even starts.

Once conditions are met, construction time depends on the building type. Basic structures might take minutes, but complex ones may need hours. To speed things up, Coinrepublik allows you to hire workers from other players. Offering a good wage per hour can attract help and dramatically shorten build times. It’s a powerful tool for players who want to grow fast.

Construction isn’t just about building from scratch. There are four main construction actions: building, renovating, upgrading, and demolishing. All require road access, workers, and resources. Over time, buildings and roads degrade by 1% each day. If a structure hits 100% degradation, it collapses and must be rebuilt from scratch after clearing the ruins. Renovation halts this process and restores the building’s integrity. Timely renovation is crucial to avoid disaster.

Demolition lets you tear down unwanted buildings to free space for something better. It’s useful when your city evolves and priorities change. Upgrading is key to progression but comes with added requirements. Each upgrade demands a road connection equal to the building’s level. A level 3 building needs a road of at least level 3 connecting it to City Hall. Skipping road upgrades can block your progress.

Higher-level buildings also need more workers and, in some cases, specialists. A church needs priests. A hospital needs doctors. These roles can’t be filled by just any worker—they require training through education buildings. Investing in schools and training centers ensures you’ll have the skilled labor needed for advanced construction.

Mastering construction means more than just putting up buildings. It involves planning roads carefully, managing your workforce, watching your resource levels, keeping structures maintained, and upgrading strategically. Failing in any of these areas leads to delays, collapses, and wasted resources. But with attention and planning, construction becomes a powerful engine of growth.

Coinrepublik rewards those who think ahead. Understand each rule, use all available tools, and build smart. Your republic’s success depends on it.

CoinRepublik
Transactions within CoinRepublik, a real cash town-building simulator developed by ANNO1777 Labs, involve a high level of risk and should be approached with caution. The nature of this game means that virtual in-game currencies and assets can be linked to real-world economic conditions and market fluctuations, including changes in local or global financial markets, political situations, or natural events. Speculative actions within the game, especially those involving in-game gold or other valuable assets, may result in significant losses. Players should carefully evaluate their financial objectives, experience level, and tolerance for risk before engaging in the game's economy. It is crucial that participants only use funds they can afford to lose, as the market-like environment within CoinRepublik can lead to both gains and losses. While the game aims to offer entertainment and strategic value, the virtual economy's unpredictability can make it addictive and potentially financially hazardous. CoinRepublik includes mechanisms to minimize losses, such as in-game tools that mimic financial stop-loss strategies, yet no system can entirely eliminate risk. There are also inherent risks related to the technology used in the game, such as possible software or server failures, despite ANNO1777 Labs' implementation of backup systems and contingency plans to mitigate these issues. Participants are encouraged to consider these risks and, if necessary, seek guidance from a qualified financial advisor before engaging in CoinRepublik' virtual economy.
