Build more, hire more

Buildings in Coinrepublik are divided into four main categories: production buildings, service buildings, military buildings, and residential houses. Production buildings generate critical resources such as stone, gold, and food. Service buildings provide essential functions like healthcare, education, and security; some also produce items that increase your energy like burgers (restaurants) or drinks (bars). Military buildings, while not yet fully detailed, will eventually contribute to defense and territorial expansion. Residential houses provide housing for workers and determine your population capacity.

The first core rule for nearly all buildings (except residential houses) is staffing. Buildings require workers to function. Basic production structures use unskilled workers, who can be recruited through the City Hall as long as there is available housing. Specialized service buildings require trained workers, such as doctors for hospitals or priests for churches. These specialists can be educated in schools.

Each building’s level determines how many workers it needs. A level 1 building typically requires one worker, while higher levels demand more, up to five for level 5 buildings. Workers can only be hired in a single workplace at a time. This means maintaining and expanding your workforce is critical to operate multiple high-level structures effectively.

The second key rule is building degradation. All buildings deteriorate at a rate of 1% per day. If a building reaches 100% degradation, it collapses and must be cleared and rebuilt. Performing regular maintenance is essential to prevent production halts and service disruptions.

The third rule involves building upgrades. Most buildings can be upgraded to level 5, while residential houses can reach level 10. Upgrading improves building efficiency, increases output, and may unlock new functions or requirements. Higher-level upgrades often demand better infrastructure and more workers.

Production buildings require raw materials to begin operation and production must be manually collected after each cycle. If a worker assigned to a building dies, production stops until a replacement is hired.

Service buildings have an additional mechanic: the area of influence. Each service building affects surrounding land plots within a circular zone. Buildings within this zone may receive upgrade eligibility or performance bonuses. Strategic placement of service buildings is very important. For example, placing a church near a school may benefit both and support broader development goals. We reccommend placing the service buildings in clusters.

Effective building management in Coinrepublik revolves around staffing, maintenance, and upgrades. Maintaining housing for your workforce, ensuring regular repairs, strategically assigning workers, and leveraging area of influence zones are all crucial to unlocking your town's full potential.

CoinRepublik
Transactions within CoinRepublik, a real cash town-building simulator developed by ANNO1777 Labs, involve a high level of risk and should be approached with caution. The nature of this game means that virtual in-game currencies and assets can be linked to real-world economic conditions and market fluctuations, including changes in local or global financial markets, political situations, or natural events. Speculative actions within the game, especially those involving in-game gold or other valuable assets, may result in significant losses. Players should carefully evaluate their financial objectives, experience level, and tolerance for risk before engaging in the game's economy. It is crucial that participants only use funds they can afford to lose, as the market-like environment within CoinRepublik can lead to both gains and losses. While the game aims to offer entertainment and strategic value, the virtual economy's unpredictability can make it addictive and potentially financially hazardous. CoinRepublik includes mechanisms to minimize losses, such as in-game tools that mimic financial stop-loss strategies, yet no system can entirely eliminate risk. There are also inherent risks related to the technology used in the game, such as possible software or server failures, despite ANNO1777 Labs' implementation of backup systems and contingency plans to mitigate these issues. Participants are encouraged to consider these risks and, if necessary, seek guidance from a qualified financial advisor before engaging in CoinRepublik' virtual economy.
