Gold earned
0.0027 gold · 0.0001 from the game fund for every read and every like
When i started CoinRepublik i had no idea how to actually make money. I was clicking everywhere, building stuff, and my balance was just sitting there doing nothing. Then i found the Workplaces page and honestly it is the easiest way to make your first money in this game. So here is what i figured out, written for other new players like me.
The Workplaces page has three tabs and you really should understand them before you do anything. The first one is Global Jobs. These are open to everybody, no matter what country you are from, and the important part is they pay you in GOLD. Gold is the premium money here so getting some early feels great. The second tab is Local Jobs. These pay in a national currency and they are only open to workers from that country, so you will not always see a lot of them depending on where you live. The third tab is My Workplaces, which are jobs you create yourself for other players. You cannot work your own jobs by the way, those are there for other people, so dont expect to hire yourself.
Taking a job is super simple. You pick how many hours you want to work, you start, and the salary lands in your account instantly. No waiting around for it. But it does cost energy. The rule of thumb is about five energy for every hour you work, so keep one eye on your energy bar. If you are out of energy you simply cant work, thats it.
There is one more limit that confused me at first. You can only work ten hours per day in total, and that is counted across ALL jobs together, not per job. So you cant just grind one job forever. Once you hit ten hours for the day you have to come back tomorrow. When i couldnt work at all it was usually one of three reasons: i had no energy left, i was already busy with another process running, or i had already used up my ten hours for the day.
If you want to know the pay before committing, every job card shows you the currency and the rate per hour, so you always know what you are getting into. There are minimum wages too which is nice because it stops people from offering you basically nothing. A Global job in gold has to pay at least 0.0001 GOLD per hour, and a Local job has to pay at least 0.01 of the local currency per hour.
One thing nobody told me about: you pay a small tax on your salary. It is ten percent of your gross pay. For gold jobs that tax goes to the game fund, and for local currency jobs it goes to your countrys budget. A matching part also goes to whoever referred you to the game. It is not a big deal, just dont be surprised when the final number is a little lower than the rate you saw.
A little tip on that ten hour limit, since it is shared across all of your jobs. I like to split it up smartly. If i find a global job that pays good gold, i take as many hours as my energy allows there first, and then if i still have hours left in my daily ten, i go look for another job to fill the rest. That way none of my daily work hours go to waste. Energy also slowly comes back over time, so even if your bar looks empty right now, check back a bit later and you might be able to squeeze in a couple more hours before the day resets at midnight.
And what do you even do with the gold once you start earning it? At the very beginning i just let it sit and saved it up, because gold is the premium money and it is useful for a lot of things later on, like premium features, bigger purchases, or honestly just holding it since it tends to keep its value well. You really do not have to spend it right away. Slowly building up a little gold from daily jobs gave me options later once i understood more of the game, so dont feel pressure to use it the second you get it.
So why do i recommend jobs for beginners? Because it is the most reliable income when you are just starting out. It only needs energy, you dont have to build production chains or invest anything first. And the Global jobs let you earn actual gold directly, which you can save up for the bigger stuff later. Before you even figure out production and mining, just work a few hours every day. It adds up faster than you think. That little bubble on the Workplaces tab even tells you how many jobs you can take right now, so check it daily. Good luck out there everyone.
