5 TIPS TO BUILDING A WELL STRUCTURED TOWN

This article is specially dedicated to beginners, ones like me. first, after you signed up to Coinrepublik, seeing your town dashboard, you are going to look lost and confused but please don't be. My first advise is for you to look up the tutorials at the learn tab just by the left side of your home screen. Personally, i have read that tab over and over, but there are some certain strategies i believe every beginner must know to build a well planned town without spending your Gold at the initial stage. Remember, Gold is the most precious asset of the game and you cant afford to spend it recklessly. So, here are my five tips: 1. UNDERSTAND THE AREAS OF INFLUENCE: The first confusion you gonna face about upgrading either a house or any building in your town is the game requesting for a certain area of influence. For instance, when you want to upgrade a house from level 1 to 2, part of the requirement is that the house must be "within a market area of influence". What that simply means is that you need to build a Market close by the house which you wish to upgrade. 2. NOTICE THE MARKED PORTION OF LANDS AND STAY WITHIN IT: A very and close close look at your town will reveal a marked portion of plots of land that you are only required to clear. Notice that, there is a difference between buying a plot and clearing plot of land. as a beginner, you will notice some highlighted areas within your town, those areas are free lands that only requires you to clear them and use them. So as a beginner, i will advise you to stay with those free areas instead of spending your Gold on buying plots outside the highlighted areas. 3. BUILD WITH ROADS IN MIND: One mistake you cannot afford to make is to neglect roads connecting your town to the Town Hall. Road is one structure that must be well planned before setting up any building in your town, because all the building must have an access road connecting to the Town Hall. There are already structured plans for road connection in your town, and i will advise you follow that structure. i will also advise that you look at other people's town to see how they structure theres to be able to have an idea of how to build yours. 4. UPGRADE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN BUILDING NEW STRUCTURES: First, you will be tempted to build market all around the map, but the truth is that you don't need to do that. Notice that when you first build a market or any building that has to do with influence, it will cover just few areas in the map, that will make you think of building more. Instead of scattering the buildings on your free lands, all you need to do is to strategically locate one within the map and upgrade it. I noticed that the more you upgrade those influence buildings, the more areas they cover, hence you might need just one market within a particular corner that covers so many areas when upgraded. By upgrading those areas of influence, it will be much easier to upgrade other already existing buildings instead of building new ones all over your home. 5. ALWAYS OBSERVE YOUR STORAGE LIMIT: Another thing you should be very mindful of is your storage limit, the game will start you off with a storage limit of 2000. be mindful not to store products exceeding that limit because it will go off as loss and you wont be happy about it. My honest advise is to start off by selling some of those products that comes in 100s. By the time you start to upgrade and hiring workers, you must consider upgrading your storage to give room for expansion of your town because you cant afford to run out materials when you need them.
