Real-time mining operations and statistics
Gold is the heart of CoinRepublik: every gram mined in the game is pegged to real 24-karat gold. Gold mines consume oak, titanium, gold ore and energy to produce it — the exact cost of one gram is listed below. Mining has a daily target: at least 0.1 grams, plus 0.01 grams for every 100 active users (so 100 active users makes it 0.11 grams, 200 makes it 0.12), tracked to four decimals so every active player nudges it. That user count is not a single day's figure: the game takes the daily count — everyone online in the last 24 hours, minus everyone who registered in the last 7 days — and averages it across the last 30 days, so neither one quiet night nor one wave of brand-new signups can swing the target for everyone. Every hour the game recalculates that average, and it compares the last 24 hours of mining against the target twice over: the moment any player starts a gold run, and again on that hourly pass whatever the world is doing — if MORE than the target was mined, every requirement rises by 100; if LESS was mined, every requirement falls by 100, down to a floor. A run counts from the moment it is started, not from the moment it is collected, so the cost you see already includes every run under way. Because that cost is set by what the world mines, two limits stop any one player from setting it for everybody else: a single mine can start at most 5 runs in any 24 hours, and one player can commit at most 5% of the daily target in any 24 hours (a 0.5 gram target therefore allows any one player 0.025 grams). Both windows roll continuously, so your allowance comes back gradually as your earlier runs pass 24 hours old, rather than all at once at a fixed hour. Accounts less than 24 hours old are treated gently: their runs still count towards the world's 24 hour total, but they do not themselves trigger a recalculation, so a new player can learn to mine without moving everyone's costs. Keep your mine stocked and watch the target — mined gold lands in your balance and can be spent, invested or withdrawn for real money.
