I lost my whole production because the storage was full (dont be like me)

Hallo Leute, Crizzles from Germany. I write this article because I made a stupid mistake and I lost a lot of stuff, and I dont want you to make the same one. Also maybe I save somebody from crying like me. So listen to my sad story and learn from it. Ok so. In this game everything you own that is physical - the raw materials like wood and stone, and the products like food - all of this take space in your storage. Your storage is like a warehouse, in german we say Lager. And the Lager has a limit. It is not infinite. This is the part I did not understand in the start. What happen to me: I had a production building making food, a nice long cycle, many hours. I was happy, I wait for my food. But my storage was already almost full with other materials that I was collecting and not using. When the production finish... the food had no place to go. And here is the bad part, the very bad part: the stuff that dont fit is NOT saved for you later. It is not waiting in a queue somewhere. It is just GONE. Lost forever. Kaputt. All my hours of production, the materials I put inside, the energy - all of it for nothing, only because the shelf was full. So mister. I was so angry with myself. Because it is not a bug, it is a rule, and it is even written if you read careful. The money in your balance dont take space, only the physical goods take space. So I was sitting on a full Lager and I did not even notice it. So now, what I learn, and what I want to tell you Leute: First, before you start a big production, LOOK at your storage. How much free space you have? If the production will make 100 food but you only have space for 20, then you have a problem already. Fix it first, before you start. Second, dont be a hamster. I was collecting materials and keeping everything like a crazy person, thinking maybe one day I will need it. But if you dont use it and it only sit there filling your Lager, it is dangerous. Sell what you dont need, or use it. Goods that move are better than goods that sit and block your space. Third, you can build and also upgrade storage buildings to have more space. When your town grow and you produce more, you will need more Lager, also it is logical. So plan for it, dont wait until it is too late like me. The annoying thing is, this mistake is so silent. The game dont stop you, the production run normal, the timer finish normal, and only after you see... nothing came. There is no big error in your face, only empty hands. So you must check it yourself, nobody will remind you. Now every time before I produce something big, I look at my free space first. Always. It became a habit, like checking the mirror before you drive. It take 5 seconds and it save you from losing hours of work. Such a small thing but so important. And it is not only for production - if you buy a lot on the market, it is the same thing, it must fit in your storage too. So before a big buy, also check.
