Namaste friends, Ratanmali here from India. Today i want to tell you about the most nervous ten minutes i have spent in this game so far: the official exam. Yes, this game has a real examination, with a fee, a timer, a pass mark and a gold reward, and i think most beginners dont even know it exists. I took it. I want to tell you exactly how it works, what surprised me, and whether it is worth your gold. First the facts, so you know what you are signing up for. The exam is 20 questions, drawn straight from the games handbook. Each question has 5 answer options and exactly one of them is correct. You need 15 correct answers out of 20 to pass. That is 75 percent, so there is very little room for guessing your way through. You get 10 minutes. And listen carefully to this part becuase it almost got me: the clock keeps running even if you leave the page. There is no pause button. If your little brother calls you or your internet drops, the exam does not wait for you. Ten minutes means ten minutes, so take it when you are alone and stable. It costs an entry fee of 0.0001 gold, charged the moment you start, and you pay whether you pass or fail. And each pass pays 0.01 GOLD straight to your balance. Look at those two numbers again. The reward is one hundred times the entry fee. Where else in this game do you get odds like that for pure knowledge? There is a limit of course, the reward is capped at one rewarded pass per day, so this is not an infinite money printer, it is a daily knowledge bonus for people who actually learned the game. Now, about the questions themselfs, because this is where i want to warn you properly. These are not quiz questions like "what is a house". The exam questions are deliberatly hard and tricky. They are "what happens if" questions, little scenario traps. They describe a situation, a worker with so many days of life, an item bought on a certain day, a production finishing with the storage in a certain state, and the wrong answers are written to LOOK right. Every wrong option is something a half-informed player would happily believe. If you only skimmed the handbook, the wrong answers will feel very comfortable to you. That is the trap, and it is intentional. Let me give you the flavour without spoiling actual answers. You should know things like: when exactly does clothing expire, from acquisition or from first wearing? What precisely happens to a production that is running when its worker dies? What exactly decides a new citizens lifespan and when is it fixed? These are the kind of details the exam lives in. Not definitions, consequences. The difference between reading the handbook and understanding it. Also good to know, for the suspicious minds: the exam reshuffles the questions and the answer order on every attempt, and everything is graded on the server. Your browser never even receives the answer key. So no, you cannot cheat it with tricks, and the person who passed did not find a magic list somewhere. They just knew the material. I find this honestly respectable, it keeps the certificate meaning something. So how did MY attempt go? I will be honest with you, because honesty is the theme of this page. My first attempt: 13 correct out of 20. FAILED, by two questions, and i can tell you exactly why. I was confident about the topics i use every day, production, energy, recruiting. I was weak on everything i dont touch yet. The exam does not care what parts of the game you personally play, it asks about the whole handbook. So i did what any indian student knows how to do: i went back and studied properly. I re-read the handbook chapters i had skipped, i did the free chapter quizzes to check myself (those quizzes also pay a little gold by the way, and they are free, do them before the exam, it is the perfect training). Two days later, second attempt: 17 out of 20, PASSED, and 0.01 gold landed in my balance. The feeling was better than the gold, but the gold was also nice. My practical advice if you want to try it: Do the free handbook quizzes first, all of them. They are the same universe of knowledge with no entry fee, and they show you exactly wich chapters you are weak in. Only when the quizzes feel easy, take the exam. Take it alone, with quiet, and a stable connection, remember the merciless clock. Read all five options of every question before answering, the trap options come first sometimes and look perfect. And if you fail, fail cheaply: 0.0001 is a coffee sip of gold, study the explanations you get at the end, come back and take the reward. Is it worth it? For me, completly. Not mainly for the 0.01 gold per day, wich is nice pocket money. It is that studying for this exam forced me to actually understand systems i was using half-blind. My town runs better now because of what the exam made me learn. The gold was just the certificate. Good luck, study well, and tell me your score in the comments. No lying, we are all students here. Thank you for your advice. I will prepare for the exam taking them into account. I think this exam is the best way to get a good amount of gold daily. You both learn the logic of the game and earn gold to use in the game. This will have a positive effect on our development in the game from both sides.

This is a very helpful overview for new players. I didn't realize the exam was designed around understanding the game mechanics instead of simple memorization. The advice about completing the free handbook quizzes first and taking the exam only after studying carefully sounds like the smartest approach. Thanks for explaining everything
