Hello everyone, i am still pretty new here, but one thing confused me a lot at the start, so maybe my little explanation can help other new players too. The thing is, in this game you have two different kinds of money, and they are not the same thing at all. The first kind is gold. Gold is the premium asset of the game. What makes it special is that it is backed by real cryptocurrency, so it actually has real world value, and you can even withdraw it later on. Because of that, gold generally holds its value better than other money. People treat it like the serious money, a store of value, not something you spend on every little thing. The second kind is your national currency. This is the local money that is tied to your country. When you start the game, your main currency is the one of the country you are in. National currency is what you use for most of the everyday trading inside the game. It is just normal money for normal buying and selling. So you will have a gold balance and a local money balance at the same time, and that is totally normal, dont panic like i did when i first saw it. You can also end up holding a foreign currency sometimes. This happens when you trade in another country or on the global market and you receive that countrys money. The first time i saw a strange currency show up in my balance i thought i had done something wrong, but no, it is just from trading. You can always change it back whenever you want to. That brings me to the Exchange. If you want to swap between national currencies that you are holding, you use the Exchange page, and you can find it from the Home menu. So if you are stuck holding some foreign money and you want your own currency back, the Exchange is exactly where you do that. One thing to know is that the Exchange is mainly for national currencies. Gold is a bit separate from that, you generally trade gold on its own and not on the normal currency exchange. So how do you get your first gold when you have none at all? There are a few normal ways. You can work a Global job, which pays you directly in gold. You can mine gold if you have a mining license. Or you can produce goods and then sell them for gold on the market. For a total beginner with nothing, i personally think working a global job is the easiest start, and then later you can try the other ways once you understand them. So to keep it simple in my own words: gold is the premium crypto money that you save and can withdraw, your national currency is the everyday money you use for trading, foreign currency just shows up from trading across countries, and the Exchange page is where you convert between the national currencies. Once i understood this difference, the whole game suddenly made a lot more sense to me. I really hope this helps another beginner who was as confused as i was.

I enjoyed reading this because it explains one of the most confusing parts of the game in a very simple way. When I first started, I also did not fully understand why there were different currencies showing up in my account, and seeing a foreign currency balance for the first time was definitely confusing. The explanation about gold being a premium asset with real-world value, while national currencies are mainly used for everyday trading, makes the distinction much easier to understand. I also think the section about the Exchange is especially useful for beginners because many players probably do not know where to convert foreign currencies back into their local one. Another thing I liked is that the article does not just explain the currencies but also gives practical examples of how new players can earn their first gold. Overall, this is a beginner-friendly guide that clears up a topic that can seem complicated at first and should help many new players avoid common misunderstandings.

This text is very helpful for beginners in **CoinRepublik** because it explains the difference between gold and national currency. Gold is premium crypto money with real value, while national currency is used for everyday trading. The guide also clarifies foreign currency and the Exchange, making the economic system easier to understand for new players.
