CoinRepublik is a hub for several products that if care is not taken, you might be tempted to fill up your empty spaces with production buildings. The best practice for me is to focus on upgrading the existing/default buildings instead of building new ones. By default, your town will start up with 6 production buildings which comprises of: a vegetable garden, metals factory, wood factory, clay pit, stone quary and a farm. Each of these factories have what they produce, and all that they produce are very important to the development of your town. in as much as they all produce important materials at different quantities, here are the top 5 vital but limited products that are frequently required for the upgrade of your town at the beginning stage: 1. Chicken Meat: Chicken meat is top on my list because it is one product that is required in the 80% of the development of your town at the initial stage. At level 1 of the farm building, it produces 20 chicken meat per hour; whereas, to clear a piece of land will require 100 chicken meat. To recruit a tier 1 worker will require 25 chicken meat, T2 workers will require 50 chicken meat, T3 workers will require 75 Chicken meat, T4 workers will require 100 Chicken meat and T5 workers will require 125 chicken meat. To train the professionals at the school, it will require 100 chicken meat except for the training of a Police officer which requires just 25 chicken meat; i truly don't know why the police man had to eat just 25 chicken to be qualified as an officer lol. To demolish a building requires 100 chicken meat. Honestly, you can see how much chicken meat is required, yet per production per hour gives only 20 chicken meat; meaning that you will be needing like 5 hours to store up to 100 chicken meat. Here is my advise, instead of upgrading the farm building at this beginning stage, kindly strategically build another one, so as you can be producing chicken meat at the both building at the same time, so as in 1 hour, you can store 40 chicken meat. 2. Clay: As long as building roads are concerned, clay is one product you can't afford to play with. Clay pit building houses your clay production amongst other products. it produces 100 clay per hour which barley will not be enough to help you start up about 2 road upgrade simultaneously. There are other products within the production buildings that requires certain amount of clay before they can be produced. Also, upgrading your buildings requires about 75 clay to be started. Hence, i had to build up to 2 additional clay pit to be able to meet up with the demand that my town required at the initial stage, but before building the second pit, i will advise that you upgrade the default pit to be able to diversify your production a bit. In a whole, these two unique products are ones i hardly get enough of, thus, i started the expansion of my town by building more of them because the advancement of every town is centered on that two building (Farm and Clay pit). Bear in mind that once you set out on this expansion mission, you must keep watch on your storage limit to avoid losing any product for good.

I was actually planning to write an article about this exact topic myself. It's great to see the community noticing the same early-game bottlenecks and sharing practical solutions. Chicken meat really becomes a limiting resource surprisingly fast, and I had a very similar experience. Thanks for putting all the numbers together and explaining why expanding Farms can be such a smart investment early on.

Excellent post! 👏 I loved how you highlighted the importance of Chicken Meat and Clay as key resources in the early stages of the game. The explanation is clear, practical, and very useful for those just starting out in CoinRepublik. I especially appreciate: a. The way you detailed the consumption of chicken meat in different processes (recruiting workers, training professionals, demolishing buildings). b. The strategic advice of building more farms and clay pits to balance production from the start. c. The warning about the storage limit, which is often overlooked but is essential to avoid losing resources.
