Gold earned
0.0117 gold · 0.0001 from the game fund for every read and every like
So a funny thing happened to me. A few days into the game i was looking through my Inventory and i found out that i already owned a game share. I never bought it. It turns out every new player gets one for free at signup. That little discovery sent me down a rabbit hole of learning what shares actually are, and now i want to pass it on to other beginners.
First, what is a game share exactly? It is an asset that is linked to the game fund. The cool part is that every share you own pays you a dividend in gold every single day. You dont have to do anything for it, it just pays out. To find your shares and the dividends they make, you open Inventory and then choose Shares.
How much does it pay? Each share pays 0.0001 gold per day. That does not sound like much, and honestly with just one share it is tiny. But it adds up if you collect more of them. For example a thousand shares would pay 0.1 gold per day. So shares are like a slow steady income in gold, paid daily straight from the game fund.
Now about that free share i mentioned. Every new player receives one free welcome share when they sign up. It earns the daily dividend just like any other share, which is nice free money for doing nothing. But there is one rule with it, the welcome share is non tradeable. That means you cannot list it on the market to sell it. It is yours to earn dividends with, but not to flip for a profit. Any shares that you buy yourself later on are different, those ones are fully tradeable.
So can you get more shares? Yes you can. The admins issue new shares from time to time and sell them to players. And on top of that you can buy and sell shares with other players directly on the market, at whatever price the two of you agree on. So the price moves with supply and demand, like a real market would.
There is a fee that i think every new player should know about before they sell anything. If you sell a game share to another player, a ten percent split is taken from your gold proceeds. Five percent goes to the game fund and five percent goes to the player who referred you. If nobody referred you, then that five percent referral part is simply not charged, so you just keep it. You always keep the rest of your proceeds either way. And one more detail, if you are buying shares that the game fund itself is selling officially, those do not carry the split, so the price you see is the price you pay.
So how do you actually profit from shares? There are two ways. The first one is just holding them and collecting the daily dividend in gold, slow and steady. The second is if you manage to sell shares for more than you paid for them, after that small five plus five percent fee on player to player sales. So the price you buy in at really matters for that second one.
One more small thing i noticed. The dividend gets paid out daily all on its own, so i made it a habit to just glance at my Shares page in the Inventory every day to watch it tick up a tiny bit. It is a nice little feeling even when the numbers are still small. And remember, since that dividend comes from the game fund as a bonus, the gold is not taxed at all, so whatever the dividend is, that is exactly what lands in your balance.
For me as a beginner, i am just going to hold my free share and collect the little daily dividend, and maybe buy a few more when i have some spare gold lying around. It is not going to make me rich overnight, but i really like that it pays me every single day without any effort. Anyway, go check your Inventory, you probably have a free share sitting there waiting for you too. Hope this helped someone.
